IEEE CloudCom 2015 Student Travel Grants

 

IEEE CloudCom 2015 is pleased to offer a number of travel grants to selected student authors to enable them to attend CloudCom 2015 and present their papers at the conference.

Grant Details 

  • Registration fee for IEEE CloudCom 2015 (good for publication of one paper) is waived.
  • The grant will cover documented travel and hotel expenses up to CDN$1,500 (maximum CDN$700 for those attending from within British Columbia, Canada or Washington State, USA, CDN$1,000 for those attending from elsewhere in North America, including Canada, USA or Mexico, and CDN$1,500 for those attending from outside of North
  • The grant will be provided on a reimbursement basis. An itemized list of expenses supported by original receipts should be sent by mail to Prof. Victor Leung, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of British Columbia, 2332 Main Mall, postmarked no later than 15 December, 2015 in order to receive the reimbursement. The reimbursement is subject to verification that the grant recipient has indeed given a presentation at CloudCom 2015.

Eligibility

  • All presenting authors in CloudCom 2015 (including regular papers, student consortium papers, posters, demo papers, workshop papers,) who are graduate students currently registered in a doctoral and master degree programs are eligible to apply.

  • Deadline: 10 September, 2015.

 

Award

Due to the large number of excellent grant applications received, we have decided to offered as many travel grants as possible within our limited budget. We have selected 12 student applicants for an award that covers the regular registration fee (extra-page fees not included). Unfortunately we are unable to cover any travel and hotel expenses as originally stipulated.
